Lewis “Buddy” Waskey serves as President of the American Federation of Aviculture (AFA), where he advocates for responsible aviculture, ethical bird ownership, and the preservation of avian species through education and collaboration. With years of experience working alongside bird breeders, hobbyists, and conservation partners, Buddy is committed to protecting the rights of aviculturists while promoting high standards of care and stewardship

Under his leadership, AFA continues to support legislative awareness, public education, and the long-term sustainability of captive-bred bird populations in the United States. Buddy is known for his dedication to the avicultural community and his passion for ensuring a strong future for companion and aviary birds alike.
